Free bird walk with the Galesburg Area Bird Club. Meet in the Joe E Anderson area parking lot. For all ages. 

Stories, songs, sign language, and bounces for kids ages 0-18 months old and their caregivers. No registration required.

Meet at Blackthorn Hill Nature Preserve for a one-mile nature walk to observe plants, birds, and more. Open to all ages. Walk with depart from the Blackthorn Hill parking lot at 10:00 AM sharp.

Join us for a showing of a family-friendly movie that relates to our Summer Reading theme: Read, Renew, Repeat! Free and open to kids of all ages and their caregivers. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Join WQPT to watch a PBS Kids video, read a story, and participate in a hands-on activity. Each child will receive a PBS Kids Summer Activity book. Recommended for ages 3-8.

Participate in a variety of Nerf games at Standish Park! This event requires registration and a signed permission slip. 

Teens may bring their own unmodified Nerf equipment, or use the library's equipment. Water will be provided.

Come build with LEGO blocks to your heart's content. For kids of all ages with an adult.

The Friends of the Library will meet to discuss their annual book sale. 

Note: this meeting is being held in a new location. 

Meet at the library for a kid-friendly introduction to the world of Dungeons & Dragons. We'll cover the basics of tabletop role playing games and then play through a self-contained adventure. No previous experience needed!

Bring a stuffie friend with you for stories and songs, then tuck your stuffie in for a sleepover in the library. Return Friday to pick them up and see what adventures they've had overnight.

Musician and storyteller Dave Martin presents Stomp the Prairie: The Songs of Summer. Cruise into summer with warm, folk-based songs and stories while enjoying refreshments from Henn House. An ASL interpreter will be present.
