Galesburg Public Library’s Skills Lab is an interactive classroom for adults and teens to develop skills, gain independence, and engage in hands-on, life-long learning. Visit the Skills Lab with or without an appointment!

Drop in to practice reading with a trained volunteer. New and developing readers will read aloud to their buddy, build fluency & confidence, and have fun! Readers attending at least three sessions may choose a free book to keep.

Stories, rhymes, songs, and movement for toddlers ages 18-36 months and their caregivers. No registration required.

Tome Raiders is our science fiction and fantasy book discussion group. Newcomers are always welcome! 

Join us each month to recreate an art masterpiece! Open to kids in grades K-4. Children age 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration required. Please register at the Children's Desk or by calling 309-343-6118.

Let's read, sing, and play together in English and Spanish. For kids ages 6 and under with an adult. 

Stories, songs, sign language, and bounces for kids ages 0-18 months old and their caregivers. No registration required.

Volunteers help fold and label library newsletters to be mailed out. 

Bring your family photos, documents, and memorabilia to the library!

Calling all tweens in grades 4-6! Join us twice a month for fun crafts, games, or building challenges. We will focus on a different topic or activity each session. Advance registration is required.
