The Mobile Memory Lab's Digitization Days is a community scanning program presented by the Illinois Heartland Library Association. Metadata Cataloger Kat Anderberg will help library patrons digitize artifacts such as photographs, regalia, letters, and other documents. The digitized materials will be added to the Illinois Digital Archives as well as the Galesburg Public Library Archives. To participate in this event, please sign up at the Reference Desk by November 22.

Digitization Restrictions:

  • 30-minute appointments—20-25 items max
    • Flat items (documents and photographs) can be a maximum size of 8.5x11.7 inches
    • Three-dimensional objects should be no more than 14 inches in height, width, or depth
    • Examples of items include:
      • a pamphlet or booklet of 10 pages or less
      • photographs
      • Small objects like a ring or a watch
      • Letters
      • Photo albums, genealogy binders, etc,
        • those items have more pages, they will take more time to scan
