Event Details

Join us Saturday, May 11 to celebrate the grand opening of the new Galesburg Public Library! The Galesburg Chamber of Commerce will help us mark the occasion with a ribbon cutting, and lunch from Hy-Vee will be served. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the building, participate in a craft led by the Galesburg Community Arts Center, take photos in our photo booth, and meet children’s characters Elephant and Piggy. Activities will take place outdoors (weather permitting) and in the Community Room.

Library Hours: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
*Grand Opening Program: 11:00-11:30
Lunch and Activities: 11:30-1:00 PM

An ASL Interpreter will provide services during the program.

Construction of the library was made possible by funds administered by the State Librarian and the generosity of local residents, businesses, and library supporters.
