Program Description

Event Details

If you've been reading along for this year's Community Read of Bite by Bite by Aimee Nezhukumatathil (sponsored by the Galesburg Public Library Foundation), you'll know that we're celebrating food in all its nourishments and jamborees. But how do we celebrate food when our friends, neighbors, and we ourselves don't have enough to eat?

Join us for a panel discussion about food insecurity and resources.

Panelists include:

  • Angelica Mangieri, CommunityGro and Ward 1 Council Member

  • Katherine Seguino, Executive Director of FISH of Galesburg

  • Kim Brannon Sibley, Volunteer Coordinator and Treasurer for Knox Prairie Community Kitchen and Participant Engagement Manager for the Knox County Housing Authority

  • Tina Hope Knox College Director of Sustainability and Knox Farm

This discussion will include time for a Q&A.
